Our story

When I was young, my father had two greenhouses and always grew too much. He kept a small cart in the garden where locals could take a plant, often leaving donations.

Over the last couple of years our family has been affected by dementia, and we wanted to champion something that raises awareness and money for dementia research.

After moving to Laughton just over a year ago and owning my first house with a greenhouse, they say: like father, like son. I did the same and grew too much. My thoughts turned to my father, and The Little Green Cart was born.

I’m Steve Lovatt, an anxiety and trauma therapist and clinical hypnotherapist based in Laughton. My wife Yvonne Lovatt is a yoga teacher, and we moved here with our Golden Retriever, Willow.
